Duke Kahanamoku, born August 24, 1890 in Honolulu (Hawaii) and died January 22, 1968, is an American swimmer and surfer. He is also considered one of the most important personalities in the world of surfing, showing his practice on the American coasts, in Australia and around the world during exhibitions.
